Blue Tree works with our clients to assemble and structure energy efficiency and renewable energy transactions. We have particular expertise in monetization of tax incentives, loan guarantee programs, and working with commercial lenders on small scale (below $20MM) and community based projects. 

Given the myriad of fragmented State and Federal and Utility financial incentives and the macroeconomic challenges of accessing commercial credit, renewable energy and efficiency projects are currently complex to arrange. We can help navigate these complexities by working closely with project developers and finding the right deal structure to make projects feasible and financeable. 

We have experience with biomass, recycling, green building, and solar PV projects, including knowledge of how to make renewable energy, energy efficiency, and green building projects happen. 

Case Study: Tangerine Power

Tangerine Power is a Pacific Northwest-based community solar developer that has developed a highly innovative cooperative ownership model for solar power that provides triple bottom line benefits to local communities.  Blue Tree supported the initial financial analysis leading to the development of this unique model that has enabled Tangerine's growth across the Pacific Northwest. 

Our initial engagement helped Tangerine focus their efforts on developing a truly community based solar ownership structure.  Our work included conducting financial analysis, pro-forma development, and supporting Tangerine in conversations with capital funders.
