Aaron Berg - President and CEO

Aaron Berg is currently serving as Chief Financial Officer of Clean Energy Works Oregon, a capital aggregation and service delivery platform working to catalyze the Oregon energy efficiency retrofit industry. Aaron founded Blue Tree Strategies in 2008 and has led the firm in supporting the Clean Energy Works platform from concept to local pilot through state-wide deployment. The design of Clean Energy Works reflects the Blue Tree approach: strategic innovation for achieving measured and verified social, environmental and financial returns

As Founder and CEO of Blue Tree, Aaron provides leadership on client services spanning renewable energy and energy efficiency project finance and program design, carbon accounting, and custom consulting engagements. Prior to founding Blue Tree, Aaron worked in commercial lending with ShoreBank Enterprise Cascadia, underwriting commercial debt transactions in the organic agriculture, renewable energy, real estate and construction industries, and in public accounting for Portland based Perkins & Co.

Aaron holds a BA in Business Administration & Accounting, Cum Laude, from the University of St Thomas in St Paul MN. Outside of work he enjoys time with friends and family over good food & drink, especially a summer bbq. He also enjoys many outdoor activities depending on the season. Once upon a time he lived in Homer Alaska working in the halibut sport fishery and as a carpenter.
