Aaron Berg - President & Founder

Aaron is currently serving as CFO of Clean Energy Works Oregon, a non-profit corporation, working to catalyze the Oregon energy efficiency retrofit industry. Aaron founded Blue Tree in 2008 and has led the firm in supporting the Clean Energy Works platform from concept to local pilot through state-wide deployment. The design of Clean Energy Works reflects the Blue Tree approach: strategic innovation for achieving measured and verified social, environmental and financial returns.

As President of Blue Tree, Aaron provides leadership on client services spanning renewable energy and energy efficiency project finance and program design, carbon accounting, and custom consulting engagements. Prior to founding Blue Tree, Aaron worked in commercial lending with Enterprise Cascadia, underwriting commercial debt transactions in the organic agriculture, renewable energy, real estate and construction industries, and in public accounting for Portland based Perkins & Co.

Aaron holds a BA in Business Administration & Accounting, Cum Laude, from the University of St Thomas in St Paul MN. Outside of work he enjoys time with friends and family over good food & drink, especially a summer bbq. He also enjoys many outdoor activities depending on the season. Once upon a time, he lived in Homer Alaska working in the halibut sport fishery and as a carpenter.
