Adam Hyde - Senior Consultant
Adam is a strategist with strong people skills and ability to motivate clients and staff towards culture change, integral values and long-term, ecologically sound and locally responsible business practices. Adam plays a key role as senior advisor to Blue Tree’s private sector clients. His experience includes strategy and management consulting, program design and implementation, research and analysis, and stakeholder engagement. Adam has industry experience in sustainable agriculture, composting, clean energy, retail, apparel, home goods, toys, and packaging.
Prior to joining Blue Tree, Adam served as a senior consultant for Blu Skye, working primarily with Wal-Mart Stores on a range of strategic initiatives including the Sustainability Index, responsible sourcing in China, and domestic operational eco-efficiency.
He is currently chair of the board and cofounder of the Appropriate Infrastructure Development Group (AIDG). Adam holds a BS in Environmental Studies from University of Vermont, and a MSc in Holistic Science from Schumacher College in the UK. Along with his wife and son, he grows food and raises livestock on pasture in the Columbia Gorge.
