Mike Marsolek - Advisor
Mike is an assistant professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Seattle University, in Seattle, WA. His research interests include carbon emissions analysis for large and small organizations, non-crop based biofuel production, and industrial wastewater treatment. The infrastructure and student resources at Seattle University provide Blue Tree Strategies with a wide variety of assets while also providing the social benefit of integrating local students into cutting edge environmental issues.
Mike received bachelors degrees in chemical engineering and chemistry from the University of Minnesota, and a doctoral degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University (Evanston, IL). Mike’s doctoral work focused on combining chemical and biological reactor treatment strategies for industrial wastewaters. Upon completing his graduate studies Mike served a one-year Post-Doctoral fellowship at the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University before coming to Seattle University.
